Over dit event
A practical, practitioner-focused training for breathworkers who want to work respectfully and safely with people living with cancer. You’ll be given a concise online foundation and then invited into a held, hands-on weekend where the emphasis is entirely on practice, embodiment and being able to hold real sessions with clarity.
Two parts, one clear intention
1) Required online foundation (3 hours)
Before the live weekend you get a three-hour video series that lays the groundwork you need. In that module you will find plain-language explanations of what cancer is and how it affects the body, a clear account of what breathwork can and cannot offer, essential do’s and don’ts for facilitators, a practical intake guide, and a packet of references, research citations and a detailed hand-out you can return to whenever you need to refresh.
2) Live practice weekend — two full days
The weekend (no repeat of the online theory) is where we bring the material into the body. Across two full days we will breathe together, practise techniques that are safe and effective for people in treatment or recovery, rehearse grounded and factually correct intake conversations, work on safety and boundaries around emotional sensitivity, and strengthen your confidence as a facilitator. Expect experiential learning, role-plays, guided practices and time to integrate what you have learned with peers.
You’ll be taught specific breathing practices suited to people with cancer; exercises to support clients during treatment or in recovery; how to hold a grounded intake; how to navigate safety, boundaries and emotional sensitivity; and how to build trust in your own role as a practitioner. There will be an emphasis on mutual learning: Nadja wants this to be a space where breathworkers learn from each other and grow into a community that can accompany people in a vulnerable chapter of life. This is sacred work, and Nadja is honoured to guide you.
